The IEEE Robotics & Automation Society of IIT

Established in 2023, the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society of IIT is a dedicated community fostering science, technology, learning, and education for undergraduates. The society provides valuable hands-on experience through workshops and webinars, allowing participants to showcase their skills.

Exciting competitions are organised to highlight the talents of members, creating a dynamic platform for enthusiasts to engage and thrive in the field of robotics and automation. We are part of the IEEE RAS global network of over 15,000 members worldwide.

Programme Structure

RobotNexus 3

RobotNexus 3 is the third edition of our seven-day robotics and automation programme, structured into two distinct phases that combine technical skill development with meaningful community impact.

Phase 1

Technical Workshop Series

A structured, hands-on robotics workshop series designed to equip undergraduate students with strong technical foundations in robot development — covering programming, control systems, sensor integration, and system-level thinking.

A four-day robotics and IoT workshop series focused on the design and development of a wall-following micromouse. Participants were introduced to ESP32 programming, Arduino basics, circuit assembly, algorithm design, and maze-based testing.
